Medway Velo turnout in force for VC Elan Hilly Time Trial

17 Medway Velo riders made up a field of 40 for the VC Elan Hilly Time Trial on Sunday, 23 March. The event, which begins in Molash, sees riders descending then asencing Charing Hill, heading towards Ashford before turning back to Chilham to finish the 22-mile event with the climb of Molash Hill.

Cycling Weekly Wiltshire Wildcat by Kevin Attridge

A 5am start and 130 miles to drive before you even turn a pedal isn’t everyone’s idea of a day out on the bike! It was a mix of work and leisure for my first sportive of the season and having read the pre-ride report by Marcin Bialoblocki of Team Velosure-Giordana back in February who said, “it would test early season legs on the first 2 mile climb”…begged the question, what legs?!

Presidents Hill Climb Challenge

The club is setting a hill climb challenge in honour of Club President Rodney Kennison who in 1972 won and set a record for the KCA Hill Climb in 1.45, a record that stands to this day.
