LVRC Omnium: Rob is runner up as Keith PB’s

Rob Kennison continued his form into day two of the LVRC Omnium in Newport, finishing in runners up spot in the 50-55 age category, whilst Keith Johnson claimed a number of personal best’s in the individual events.

Opening the day with the 500 metre time trial Rob claimed first place in a time of 36.936, whilst Keith claimed the first of his PB’s. Keith also PB’d in the flying lap, taking half a second off of his previous best, whilst Rob had to settle for second place in his category.

The final event in the omnium was the points race and once again Rob took second place, securing his runners up spot in his group.

Well done to Keith and Rob for representing the velo on a national stage.

Sadly closer to home Steve Melia-Chamberlain crashed whilst out training and fractured a femur. I’m sure all members and friends wish him a speedy recovery.
