Matt doubles up at track league

The final week of the Full Gas Track League saw Matt Nunn in action two evenings running, claiming a number of top ten placings along the way.

Opening day one with a scratch race Matt claimed sixth place before taking fifth in the devil. The reverse win out saw Matt make a brave effort to claim third, but sadly his efforts went unrewarded. Matt rounded off his the first night of his double header with an aggressive show in the points race.

Before his second evening’s racing Matt was still feeling the effects of the previous night’s racing in his legs, although the day’s events in Westminster overshadowed the racing, and a minutes silence was observed by the competitors.

Racing in a much larger field Matt was still in the thick of the action, claiming ninth place in the opening scratch, and seventh in the reverse win out, after the race splintered into numerous groups.

The final points race saw Matt’s legs working like pistons, and he used gravity to help him with his kick, claiming third place in the opening sprint for points.

Well done to Matt and all of the velo riders who competed at track league, and also thanks to Matt, and to Keith Johnson for working as commissaires at the velodrome.
