Another busy midweek set of races saw velo riders in action in road races and time trials.
Carla Button continued her development racing in the Full Gas Midweek series at the Lee Valley Velopark. Riding against seasoned road racers Carla held her own in the bunch, moving through the pack when required, and finished inside the top ten in a race in which Jayne Paine of Willesden CC lapped the field.
Well done Carla, I’m sure all members will continue to monitor her progression with interest.
On the time trialling front Matt Saywell rode in the Ashford Wheelers Club Ten, completing the course in 22:10.
Matt Nunn rode in the Thanet RC Club ten as he continues towards his personal goal of going sub 25 minutes for ten miles. On a good night for time trialling Matt recorded a short 26 on the Thanet Way, as he continues to progress as well.
