Midweek update: North Weald and club tens

Rich and Matty Stokoe braved the inclement weather and travelled to North Weald to race in the latest round of the TLI series on Tuesday evening. Twenty of so hardy riders turned out and so the racing went ahead, with the race reduced to 10 laps of the flat circuit.

The race started together although it soon split into 3 groups; Matty was in second group but fell back to the 3rd group, suffering with the wet and windy conditions,  but he did well and finished strongly . Rich rode round with the second group contesting the second prime, where he took third spot. The group stayed together to the end of the race with Rich coming in second in his group.

Wednesday evening saw Sally Smith travelling to Harrietsham to compete in the San Fairy Ann / Wigmore 10.

Sally maintained her compsoure, dealing well with the delayed start due to traffic congestion on the A20 / M20, and achieved a good time of 29:10, in line with her expectations.

Neil Ord opted to ride the CC Bexley club event and recorded a time of 30:27.

Thank you to all of the clubs who let our riders take part in their events each week.

Well done all!
