Annual General Meeting
Wednesday 7th December 2016 to be held at Gillingham Golf Club at 8pm
Dear all, it is that time of year again when we hold our clubs’ AGM.
There will be a free drink for all 1st claim members on arrival.
If you have any points you would like adding to the agenda, then please contact club secretary Tom Knight by email (secretary@medwayvelo.org.uk) before Monday 5th Dec for inclusion in the Agenda. Please provide a short description of what matter you would like raised.
Please be aware that only 1st claim members will be allowed to vote during the AGM.
This year we will have a couple of vacancies on the committee that will need to be filled, these are
General Secretary – I will be stepping down from my role as club secretary at this AGM. The role includes the following:
· Managing the club subscriptions through the club manager application on the British Cycling Website – for this you will need to be a British Cycling member.
· Maintaining and managing the Clubs mailing lists and member access to the clubs Facebook group.
· Arranging and attending the monthly committee meeting and recording the minutes.
· Answering prospective emails from people wishing to join the club.
· You will be the point of contact for British Cycling, and other clubs with regards to correspondence.
Social Secretary – Mark Barton will be stepping down from this role at the AGM. You will be responsible for arranging the clubs’ social activities throughout the year such as the Annual Awards Dinner, the summer BBQ, NTTOF and any other events that you feel would add to the clubs’ social activities
Women’s Secretary – This is a proposed new role in the club, to encourage some female representation on the committee.
Track Secretary – Tom Kennison will be standing down. The track secretary is responsible for organising and running track events for the club throughout the year and to support anybody who wishes to get involved in track cycling.
Junior Secretary – this position is still vacant from last year and is aimed at having someone to represent the views of our members under the age of 18.

Time Trial Secretary – Phil Booth
Road Race Secretary – Tom Knight
Coach – Rob Kennison
Webmaster / Media – Phil Booth
Club Captain – Mick Florey
Sportive Secretary – Sean Farley
I would strongly encourage anybody that would like to become more active in the club to consider joining the committee. It is a good opportunity to shape how the clubs runs as our opinion is that the more people
