Roy Enfield Memorial 50 mile time trial

On Sunday 11th August Medway Velo will be promoting the 50 mile Roy Enfield Memorial Time Trial on the Camber circuit, a race traditionally promoted by the velo and its predecessor clubs.

Roy Enfield, a member of the Medway Wheelers, was part of the wheelers winning team in the prestigious BBAR competition in 1948 and 1949. Ken Joy and Peter Beardsmore were the other two counters, with Beardsmore winning the individual competition in 1948, and Joy, who was champion for four successive years, in 1949.

The present circuit takes in two loops of the road through Camber, and is well known amongst Kent time triallists for being a course which can produce fast times.

Full entry details will be found on the CTT website here. Phil Booth is organising the event on behalf of the velo.
