Weekly update – 2nd September

Thanet RC 10

Lee Kingston put in an impressive performance to finish in the top 20 at the Thanet RC 10-mile Time Trial held on the Thanet Way. The seasoned tester completed the course in 21.49 to take 19th position.

Also having a good ride was David Mackey who finished in 25.48 another racer who has one from strength to strength this season.

Road bike 10

Those who preferred a slightly later start headed to Iwade for the road bike club 10. The event levels the playing field bu not allowing time trial bikes instead all competitors used classic road bikes.

The winner was road race secretary Tom Knight in 26.19, a strong ride in deceptively windy conditions. 2nd place was Malcolm Day in 26.55 with Chris Robinson taking 3rd in 27.17.

Fraser Blandford was 4th in 27.44 with Karen Florey taking the ladies win in 30.21.

Thanks must go to the club members who marshalled.
