Eight Velo members attended the track training session today and a great day was had by all, The weather was warm outside, so for once it was warm inside the velodrome and shorts were the order of the day.
With a few track virgins the pace was steady to start, but under the excellent guidance of our regular coach Harry it gradually increased as the day progressed. We were soon being put through our paces learning new skills and everyone gave positive feedback and took something away from the session.
A special mention goes to the two ladies Deborah and Claire, neither had ridden a fixed wheel before let alone a bike with no brakes and a 45 degree banked circuit. Although a little nervous to start both had to be dragged of the track when Harry called time.
After a debrief we all headed to the pub for some well earned food, drink and gossip.
Well done to all who came along and made the day a memorable one, and a big thank you to Harry the coach for an excellent session in which everyone stayed upright.

P.S. A point to note,, for this year there are now 30 new Dolan track bikes in various sizes available for hire should anyone else wish to join us for future sessions later in the year.
