Rob Sapp, opened his racing account for 2017, and was crowned club champion over 30 miles following a strong performance in the VTTA 30 mile time trial held on the Hamstreet bypass course. Whilst the wind had started to recede, the course is always exposed and the riders would have faced a mixture of cross and head, as well as tail winds.
Sixty riders entered the event and Rob finished in the middle of the field, recording a time of 1:18:58.
Lee Kingston also rode his first event of the season and took second place in the club’s championship with a new personal best time of 1:21;33.
