Following on from his summer of grass track Rob Kennison made a return to indoor racing at the Full Gas Open Meeting held at the Lee Valley velodrome.
Rob had opted for the elite category and competed in five events; two scratch races, a devil, reverse win out and a points race.
In a night of serious competition under the hot lights Rob rode aggressively, riding with his usual guile and tactical awareness in the devil he lasted well into the second half of the event, and holding back for the final sprint in the reverse win out he was just beaten for the win after lunging for the line. In the points and scratch races he was often seen on the front.
As riders much younger than rob were pulling out of events after dropping off of the pace Rob kept going and received a number of compliments from the other competitors on his racing ability.
