On Saturday Matthew Bull took part in his first off road sportive. The Medway Velo rode the 75-mile London2Brighton off road sportive in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
After finishing he said: “A slow and steady pace got me to the finsh safely.”
“I got a medal for our efforts and raised funds for a good cause.”
Meanwhile Jon Gracino took on the 4th Category race at the cyclopark. The velo battled through the deluge to take 16th place.
Over 10 riders didn’t finish in the tough conditions so staying upright and crossing the line was a great achievement.
